《On Your Mark》 - CHAGE & ASKA

[Vietsub] On Your Mark - (CHAGE & ASKA PV) from Ashura Nguyen on Vimeo.

Ghibli Experimental Theater On Your Mark is one of my favorite animated music video created by Studio Ghibli for the song "On Your Mark" by the Japanese rock duo Chage & Aska. The song was released in 1994 as part of the single "Heart". In 1995, Hayao Miyazaki wrote and directed the short film for the song as a side-project after having writer's block with Princess Mononoke. The anime music video is non-linear, providing multiple reiterations and alternate scenes to depict the events.

Lyrics translated in English:

If our hands let go, it wouldn't make a sound A coin keeps falling, never to return again
You and I beside each other Pass by the dawn on our bicycles
On your mark, every time. Then you start running. I catch the cold that's spreading around
On your mark, yet we'll never stop We look up at the hill of dreams, feeling like we must go
And we, have small empty spaces in our hearts Together we shake off a rain shower of words
An answer isn't given, though it seems an answer was given Like reading a clock's symbols with invisible hands
You and I entirely Recognize that we are still too young
On your mark, every time. Then you start running. I catch the cold that's spreading around
On your mark, we cannot be free Towards the heart of a dream, we are called to each other
	And we..
On your mark, every time. Then you start running. I catch the cold that's spreading around
On your mark, yet we'll never stop We look up at the hill of dreams, feeling like we must go
On your mark, every time. Then you start running. I catch the cold that's spreading around
On your mark, we cannot be free Towards the heart of a dream, we are called to each other
	Oh... and we

Wonder Woman, a short by Rainfall Films

"Director Sam Balcomb and star Rileah Vanderbilt offer up their idea for how to make Wonder Woman work on film in this two-minute fan trailer. The idea is to show Diana taking on the perils of man with ease while thinking back to the mythological terrors she's already faced in life. You may know Rileah Vanderbilt from "Team Unicorn," the group of geek and gamer girls who produce shorts encouraging others to let their geek flag fly (they also have a pilot in with Adult Swim)."

"The Scarecrow" - Beautiful Informercial!

It's being called "the most beautiful, haunting infomercial you'll ever see."

And with Oscar-ready animation from the acclaimed visual effects wizards at MOONBOT Studios set over a score of Fiona Apple covering "Pure Imagination" from the 1971 cult children's film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, is it any wonder that Chipotle's "stealth" promo for a free iOS game is already on a fast-track to become one of this year's most successful marketing campaigns — all without barely mentioning the word "Chipotle."

A powerful anti-factory-farming message:

"In a dystopian fantasy world, all food production is controlled by fictional industrial giant Crow Foods. Scarecrows have been displaced from their traditional role of protecting food, and are now servants to the crows and their evil plans to dominate the food system. Dreaming of something better, a lone scarecrow sets out to provide an alternative to the unsustainable processed food from the factory. [Chipotle] "
