What a warm and cute wooden toy for kid! it is a good craft and art as well!
These ultra-cool wooden toys fashioned by Japanese artist, Takeji Nakagawa, aren't available in the HK & USA. It only sold in exihibition... However, it doesn't stop me from showing you some of the amazing toys this modern-day Geppetto is making...

here is philosophy of to make this wooden toys...
Take-G toy’s is a ‘toy’ maker which mostly deals with wooden crafts hand-made by Takeji (Take-G) Nakagawa (actual toys which are sold online are restricted to Take-G blocks and zoo). My motto is to bring wooden beauty and quality into life in my own style.

I often get asked “Why do you make robots with wood?” I don’t really have an exact answer for it but I often relate my robots with ‘future’.

What do you relate future with? ? Cities full of metals, glasses and plastics in a SF movie???
What we really want is not that kind of future but one full of trees and something more natural. I don’t think humans can live without trees no matter what advances technology makes.

When I think of ‘future’, I cannot help thinking of ‘past’ at the same time. Trees take long time (tens and hundreds years) to grow and show us their beauty (the product of their past). I think that I have responsibilities as a craftsman and an artist of breathing new life into these trees. I have a job to link 100 years in the past and 100 years in the future through my work. This is my values toward my work.
I wish my work, which carries such values, can grab imaginations of children of the past, present and future.

Recharge

足足等了一年，才有機會放假。一個真正的假期，將自己完全抽離工作 NO WORK, NO EMAIL, NO PHONE CALL...想的是休息，真正的休息。

別人說︰休息是為了"充電"來應付未來的工作... 七天的充電在我上班的頭一天便已經耗盡了...也許是我這個老電池也太累了，幾近"打柴"，之後到 LA 的路更是難走.....夠電撐下去吧!

Tezuka Moderno

I think you must see this "Tezuka Moderno" series character before, books, figures, capsule toys and different kinds of products. UI love the design a lot, simple, cute and sweet and they are all very appealing. This is a very successful redesign of Astroboy.

"Tezuka Moderno was unveiled at the 2006 Tokyo Anime Fair, and is a collaboration between Tezuka Productions and renowned Japanese designer Shiro Nakano’s Modern Pets. Modern Pets is a collection of plush animals which is vastly popular in Japan at the moment. Under the Tezuka Moderno umbrella you will find some of Osamu Tezuka’s most famous characters rendered in Nakano's style."

The 1st issue of the Imagi Magazine released !

This is the cover of "Pipline", the internal Newsletter of Imagi studios. But I think it more looks like a magazine. This is bi-lingo, with Chinese and English. Images of AstroBoy and Gatchaman is not from the movie, those are designed for internal/marketing teaser only. I like the cover a lot, i like the Mascot sculpture feeling a lot...and the heading of hard copy is printed in sliver, it looks very good even though we forgot the Spot UV coating on Astroboy and G-1.

Gatchaman Live Action Movie Promo

Tatsunoko 在較早前宣佈由日本「日活公司」宣布將拍攝 Gatchaman 真人版電影。這是2007年暑假時侯發表的宣傳海報! 看到這個心口的 Gatchaman Logo真是有點心酸。樣子很"薯炳"啊... 另外「Yatterman 小雙俠」真人版也正在拍攝中, 預告片也可以按此觀看... 不過也是有點嚇人。

究竟「Gatchaman」真人版的是否仍在2009年初推出 ? 好想知道...
