Wow. Looks like I'm not the only one who sees the similarities to The Iron Giant! By the way Felix, what is going on with Imagi's official website? Everytime I try to go on there, I'm led here:
I'm rooting for Imagi! What this studio is able to produce on a budget that dwarfs the big boys in the animation industry while maintaining a first rate quality which can hang with the best is worthy of high praise. That in of itself is an achievement. Under these conditions and the hard work from the team of animators, Imagi is much deserving of success. The thing I really admired about Imagi is its willingness to go against the norm and take risks while other studios are still struck in the same lighthearted "cartoony" mode. Imagi offers edginess, cool stylized action and content that appeals to the teen and up demographic. No other studios as of late in the pass few years is willing to expand and diversified like Imagi, only pigeonholed it as a squeaky clean kiddy genre - (aside of Japan).
From the bottom of my heart, I want Imagi to continue! We NEED Imagi to continue for sake of changing the ignorance of the general public on their misconception of animation and reinforce the statement of "Animation is a medium, not a genre."
Until we get official word, I’m calling B.S on the rumors. There is an Astro Boy presentation coming up in early February at the New York Comic Con so we’ll see what happens then.

I can't wait for Tetsujin and Astro Boy! 8D Speaking of Tetsujin, will there be any concept art or character list surfacing soon? I've been really wondering if Kenji Murasame (or Dick Strong in the 60's dub) is going to be in T28.
Hi Fauna, the story is still under development, the character list is not confirmed yet. I like character Kenji Murasame too. We will for sure considerer him :)
