Check the following cool illustrations of Macross Valkyries by 天神英貴 Tenjin Hidetaka.
Macross (called Robotech in US) is one of my favorite anime, and the 3-mode transform-aircraft design aircraft, VF-1 Valkyrie aircraft series was designed by 河森正治, Shōji Kawamori who is the called the father of transformation.

The artist has also released another book recently called 天神英貴WORKS - The ART of HIDETAKA TENJIN containing work not just from Macross. Pretty great too.
